Trusting in Gods Plan for you.

There are times  if I am being honest where I have struggled to trust Gods plan for me. To trust in him and understand that everything that is happening in my life is all part of a bigger plan , a bigger purpose.  I truly believe that this happens to the best of us at some point in our lives and so I wanted to write a blog about it.
We all have plans right. Whether  that be what career path we want to go down, travelling to a new country, going to study at University , starting a family etc.
We tend to plan out our lives in such detail but then when something happens and our plans collapse and go wrong, suddenly we are faced with fear of the unknown and frustration that things didn’t go our way and so we turn our backs from God, upset with him for not giving us what we wanted . We then find it easier to give in to worldly temptations as a way of coping.
Yet , we need to remind ourselves that it is God who has the ultimate plan for our life not us . God knows what will happen in our life, where  we will go , what we will do . Ultimately he knows our purpose here. Therefore, when things go wrong in our lives , when things don’t turn out the way you expected them to or people leave your life unexpectedly just know there is a greater reason for it . A greater purpose. “ For I know the plans I have for you” Declares the Lord “ Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future”( Jeremiah 29:11).
God does not want to see you suffering or anxious about your life.Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to “ Trust in the lord with all your heart and lead not on your own understanding , in all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight”.
I feel like now more than ever that is most vital, when things haven’t gone the way I expected them to and maybe this is likewise for you, we need to  put all our trust in the Lord and understand that the things that didn’t work out , the people who left our lives and the plans we had which collapsed  around us happened because God had a greater purpose for us. He sees a greater future for us and those things in our lives were blocking us from reaching something so much better.
God has something SO much better for us. I mean how many times has that already happened in our pasts where we thought we wanted one thing and it never ends up happening but we were so glad because it led to something so much better.I know it has happened to me a number of  times. Not just the plans we had either also the people in our lives. When someone leaves who we thought was going to be in our life for much longer we can know that God already has someone else to bring into your life.

If there’s one thing I have learnt throughout my life it’s this, Gods plan will always be better than my own . I have seen it through so many different aspects of my life God always provides me with exactly what I need even when I don’t know I need it . I am and always have been a firm believer in everything happens for a reason in life  and that everything you endure is apart of Gods plan for you even when at times it can be hard to see that. I know it can be nerve wracking not knowing  why things are happening to you , where you are headed or what your future holds  but my best and hopefully most comforting bit of advice I can give you today is to completely trust that God will take care of you and guide you to exactly where you need to be.
“ May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” Romans 15:13
Love always ,
